Landslide Victory: Ayo Fayose Emerged As The Winner of Ekiti Election

The INEC Returning Officer for the 2014 governorship elections and Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Professor Isaac Azuzu, announced the results of the governorship elections in Ekiti State after all the results were collated. He declared the PDP candidate, Ayodele Fayose winner of the contest.




The three major contenders in the Saturday poll were the Governor of the state, Kayode Fayemi, of the APC; Bamidele Opeyemi of the Labour Party and Fayose, the candidate of PDP

Fayose was governor of Ekiti State from 29 May 2003 to 16 October 2006. Fayose scored a total of 203,090 to defeat the APC and other candidates.
