Abuja
– the Senior Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU yesterday announced
the suspension of its Strike action in Abuja.
In
a statement issued and signed by the Association’s National Secretary, Mr.
Promise Adewusi yesterday (Friday) 11th of October in the FCT, Abuja.
The statement reads, “Following
substantial compliance to our demand for the payment of August and September
salaries of our members which is the reason for our current national strike
action, we hereby suspend the strike and direct all our members to return to
their duties with effect from Monday, the 14th of October, 2013.”
The
statement also appreciated the members for their solidarity and calls all
members to return to their duties with effect from Monday 14th of October,
