The
former Inter Milan, AC Milan and Super Eagles Defender, Taribo West has called
for a structure to develop the Under-17 Players (the Golden Eaglets) that are
currently playing the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
The
’96 Atlanta Olympic Games winner, Taribo said this on Wednesday while speaking
with the News Agency of Nigeria.
Taribo
West wants the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF to keep the talented players
alive, so that they will be the future Super Eagle.
The
former Super Eagle player said, “The NFF does not have a structure that
supports football development. It is sad that we may never hear anything
about these boys again.
“One
will naturally expect them to proceed to the Flying Eagles, but you will be
shocked that none of them will make it.
“This attitude
cannot help football development.”
Hmmm
mm! Think that is a good suggestion or
what do you think?!
