Against
the viral news that the popular Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko was assaulted and beaten up by the
Video Club Owners, the Veteran Actor Jide Kosoko said it was not true and that
it was impossible for anybody to beat him up.
The
news about town was that Actor Jide Kosoko was mediating in a crisis in the Association
(The Video Rental Operators of Nigeria) when he was assaulted and injured
during a fracas.
However,
the veteran actor, Jide Kosoko said it was not true. He said this during a
telephone interview with Saturday Beats. The Actor said he was never beaten.
“I
was never beaten up. I am a member of the board of trustees of The Video Rental
Operators of Nigeria and there was a crisis in the association. I was there to
mediate and find way to resolve the crisis. While that was a fracas with the
Video Club Owners as they began fighting one another. Someone threw plastic
bottled water and it hit me in the eye. That was it,” Jide Kosoko said.
So,
veteran Actor Jide Kosoko was never beaten or assaulted by the Video Club
Owners.
