Libyan Prime minister, Ali Zidan that was kidnapped early hours of today has been freed.

According to reports gathered, Ali Zidan was kidnapped early hours of Thursday, BBC reports, "The head of the transitional government, Ali Zeidan, was taken to an unknown destination for unknown reasons," a government statement posted on the prime minister's Facebook site said.

Officials said that two "revolutionary brigades" were responsible for the kidnap - the "Operations Room of Revolutionaries" and the "Brigade for the Fight against Crime"

 

The kidnappers (about 150 in number according to eyewitness) abducted Ali Zidan earlier Thursday from a Tripoli Hotel and took him to an unknown destination.

 

Mohammed Kaabar, Government spokesman told the agency, LANA few minutes ago that the Libyan Prime Minister, Ali has been “set free”. Adding that, he was on his way to his office.
