Osun Governorship Election, A Painful Loss– Pres. Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday said it was very painful that the ruling democratic Party in Nigeria, PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) lost the Saturday’s governorship election in the state of Osun to APC.
The election which was won by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of All Progressives Congress (APC).

While speaking, Special Adviser to President Jonathan on Political Affairs, Prof. Rufa’i Alkali during a tour conduct on Goodluck 2 Goodluck (G2G) 2015 Project at national headquarters in Abuja.

He said, “Today we would have celebrated Osun victory. It is however, a very painful day for us because the PDP candidate and the party had completed their home work and we know the people of Osun are tired of what is happening in the state, but here we are.

“I hope the APC, which is in the habit of complaining of having security agencies in ensuring enabling environment for election and is consistent in controversy and rejecting election results, will reject this Osun state gubernatorial election result.”

Well, now that APC won the election, I think all the candidates should unite and build a new Osun
State.
