Ebola Update: US Finally Agrees To Give Liberia Experimental drug (ZMapp) To Treat Ebola

According to the Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, their country will receive sample doses of experimental drug, ZMapp to treat doctors infected with Ebola. She made this known yesterday on her website.

Mrs Sirleaf said the US had approved a request from Liberia to ship the medicine after a direct appeal to US President Barack Obama on Friday.

However, the spokesperson for the US Health and Human Services (HHS) Department said US authorities had simply assisted in connecting the Liberian Gov. with the drug's manufacturer, insisting that the drug company had worked directly with the Liberian government.

Although, it is not clear maybe the other west african countries will be receiving the experimental drug samples as well with this recent development.

Ebola is real! Make sure you take adequate measures not to contact the virus.
