Yoruba Actress, Funke Akindele Joins Bill Gate and other Public Figures in Polio Eradication Campaign

The popular Yoruba Actress, Funke Akindele a.k.a Jenifa joins the rest of the world popular figures in Polio eradication campaign.

The Nollywood actress, Akindele has joined the list of the world public figures and celebrities taking part in Rotary’s public awareness campaign for polio eradication.

Others in these category before are; Nobel Peace Laureate, Bill Gates, action movie star, Jackie Chan, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu  and so on.

In her remark, Funke Akindele said, “I feel so honored to be part of a charitable cause like this. I accepted this appointment because polio kills or paralyzes children and Rotary is committed to ending this terrible disease worldwide.” 

She appreciated the effort of Rotary international in eradication of Polio, “I also learned that the world has never been so close to eradication of polio since the mid 80’s thanks to the vigorous efforts of Rotary International and its partners.”
