CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (CAN) PRESIDENT SUGGESTED THAT ALL POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS IN THE COUNTRY, BOTH ELECTED AND APPOINTED SHOULD GIVE HALF OF THEIR ONE YEAR SALARIES TO UNEMPLOYED YOUTH IN NIGERIA

The president of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor called on all political office holders both elected and appointed to give half of their one year salaries to unemployed youth in the country.

Ayo Oritsejafor made the statement on Wednesday at the National Christian Centre in Abuja during the 53rd Independence Anniversary Interdenominational Church Service. While lamenting on the level of unemployment in the country, he said doing this will build confidence in the country.

CAN President, Oritsejafor said, “The unemployment situation is bad. The situation is critical. People are jobless. I want to make a suggestion; and in making the suggestion, I want to look up to the heaven, that probably if all political office holders, both elected and appointed, will give half of their salaries for one year and put it in a dedicated account for the poor and let men and women of integrity run that account, it will build confidence in the society,”

I think that was a good suggestion, only if our politicians will listen to him. Oh, what do you think?!
