At last, University Staff Suspended Strike Action… See Details


The long strike embarked upon by the University Staff was suspended, according to the statement released and signed by the General Secretary, Mr Jacob Emmanuel
Eshun in the City of Kumasi Ghana.

The strike embarked upon on Monday 19th of August by the Federation of University Senior Staff Associations of Ghana (FUSSAG) was suspended. According to the General Secretary of the Association, Mr Jacob Emmanuel, he said the decision was taken at the emergency meeting of the Nation Executive Council, NEC.

The Federation of University Senior Staff Associations of Ghana (FUSSAG) embarked upon the strike action over the payment of market premium, health hazard, other allowances as well as electricity subsidy among other reasons.

The association therefore threatens to resume the suspended strike if all outstanding issues remain unsolved in the next twenty-eight days.

Nigeria undergraduate should hope for the day Academic Union of Universities, ASUU will call off strike/ suspend strike. May God intervene in this ASUU strike ooooooo...
